Rick Olderman who is a Physical Therapist and Creator of the Fixing You Method has so much experience in how to correct the musculoskeletal imbalances that occur daily, ultimately ending up in chronic headaches, neck pain, back pain, hip pain, and even the troublesome plantar fasciitis!  

I learned so much from Rick, even as an integrative pain doc!!!  I truly find that working alongside a physical therapist who knows how to correct gait patterns and posture without compartmentalizing it to just one or two muscle groups is amazing.  

During the podcast episode, Rick immediately sees my sitting posture in my office chair and can tell my shoulder girdle is off. He suggests a couple changes which I've now implemented in my daily office work and it's helping my neck pain and headache from sitting too long!! And in fact, I've been doing exercises my PT taught me that actually may have been exacerbating the problem. 

Also, we dive in to low back pain and why our gait pattern may need to change. We lock our knees to hold ourselves up and this creates a big musculoskeletal imbalance that leads to pain.

He has a course online both for people suffering from pain, but also for practitioners and physicians who help people with chronic pain.  This is not what's learned in our typical training as healthcare professionals, so I'd suggest checking it out.
